Sanders Reunion 2008

Lance's mom's family has a reunion every 2 years and this time it was in L.A. We drove down through St. George and stayed at my grandparents house for a day to break up the drive. As we went to go get in the pool there were 5 frogs swimming around. There were monsoon rains the night before and they probably got swept into the pool and couldn't get out. We had fun playing with the frogs and "rescuing" them from the pool.

Monday and Wednesday were spent at Disneyland. The kids had a great time but ready to come home after a long day. The girls and I go on all the spinning rides because Ethan gets sick on them. We all did "Pirates" and "Splash Mountain" which was a favorite. Grandma Johnson was with us on Wednesday so even Mom and Dad got to go on a couple by ourselves. It was so great to have an extra pair of hands and also a ride buddy for Ethan since Grandma doesn't feel good after spinning rides either.

Tuesday was spent at the beach. Ethan did not come out of the water for 4 hours. It was all I could do to get him to come have dinner. By the end of the day he had white lines around his mouth because he had been smiling all day and the sun couldn't get inside those smile lines.

The reunion ended with a nice day at the park to visit with family members and play games. This is the last formal reunion so everyone was a bit sad. But, everyone has their own extended families now the time is needed there. We had a great time!!!
