Hooray! The project which has dominated the last 6 months of my life is now complete and was a great success. The new events for this year were the wake board competition and the Electric Lights Boat Parade. The boat parade was amazing, I hope this will become the signature event for our city.
This is my 5th season as the events coordinator and because of a huge city budget shortfall the events program and my position have been cut. I have mixed feelings. Glad to not have the stress but I hope they keep things going so everything that we have built doesn't just fall to pieces.
