With the harvest in and the pumpkins set aside, Ethan, Sydney and the neighbor kids spotted a prime digging opportunity in the garden. They dug and dug for three afternoons and made great progress. Then I became too nervous about the sprinkler pipes they were digging under so I told them they had until 4:00 and then we would measure the hole. The hole measured 31", not bad for most of the work being done by 3, 4, and 5 year olds. They were quite proud of their accomplishment. The depth has been recorded only to be broken by the hole of '08.
